In 1973 Dan Sanders’ grandfather, Roy Sanders, founded Sanders Plumbing and Heating. As the years went by, two of Roy’s sons, Ed and Tom, began working in the business as well. And, now, Dan is following suit. It is safe to say that the family business is still alive and well today, though it has changed it’s name to RE Sanders Inc.

Dan Sanders Appreciated by Customers

Sanders has been working in the field of plumbing & HVAC for 8 years which isn’t surprising considering he comes from a long line of men who work in the field. As mentioned, Dan’s grandfather started the business in 1973. Dan’s father started working for the company right after high school in 1974 and took over the daily operations in 1989 and has been running the business ever since. After graduating from high school, Dan started night school for HVAC and obtained an EPA certification for refrigeration at York County School of Technology. He is currently enrolled in Plumbing School and once completed, will have his Masters Plumbing License. Dan says what he likes best about his job is that “it’s never the same thing every day.” Dan is currently a service technician so customers would most likely come in contact with him for any type of plumbing, heating or air conditioning work, but especially for a generator service or for backflow inspections. In his spare time, Dan like to play soccer and riding motorcycles, horses and dirt bikes. He says “even though this business can be tough, dirty and tiring, the best reward is when you fix a customer’s plumbing or HVAC problem and you know they appreciate your knowledge and efforts.”
