Our History…

In 1973, with just one pickup truck, Roy Sanders started Sanders Plumbing and Heating. Roy worked from his home with his eldest son Ed. In 1974, Roy’s son Tom, graduated from high school and took up the trade with his father and brother.

The business outgrew their home, so Roy purchased a building in North York, a former early 1900’s cigar factory, and, with much loving care, this building became the home of R.E. Sanders Inc, Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical.

Roy actively worked in the business for 43 years. Roy’s hard work and dedication was instilled into his family of 1 daughter, 6 sons, 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. It is with his beloved wife, Dolores, that they created this beautiful family together.

My HVAC system is 14 years old and I decided to replace the unit before it fails. The last thing I wanted to do was wait until it breaks at the most inopportune time. I believe in preventative maintenance to avoid problems. I find it very difficult today to have work done in my home. Many of the independent contractors are very messy and do not respect a clean environment. They come crashing through the house scratching up walls and making a mess. I dreaded having this job done not knowing what to expect.

I would like to thank you and your staff for doing an outstanding job replacing my HVAC unit. Your technician is a very knowledgeable and talented mechanic. He was assisted by your son, Dan, a very ambitious and conscience young man. the duo worked very well together and produced an excellent product in the end. They must be commended for their efforts.

Let’s not forget about the support staff that put everything together to get the job done. Joel Moore, (HVAC Consultant) and Kim Crumling (Office Manager) must also be commended for excellent customer relations and constant follow-up. Joel followed through with the job and prepared all the registration and warranty documents. Your staff made this a very pleasurable experience.
